2 Inch Thermal Printer Mechanism with Low Noise ( Fujtisu FTP 62DMCL101)
Fujitsu's Receipt/Label Print Mechanism has a New, Space-Efficient Design
Sunnyvale, CA-Fujitsu Components America Inc. has released an ultra-compact thermal printer mechanism with a new, simplified design and improved structure that enhances portability and functionality. Targeting mobile receipt applications, it is Fujitsu's most space efficient, battery-driven label/receipt printer to date.
Fujitsu designed the new FTP-62DMCL101 printer mechanism with a unique footprint that accommodates a 2-inch wide paper roll partially inside the printer module. This reduces the combined height of the printer and paper roll by about 8mm without comprising print speed or functionality.
The new design also includes an improved spring mechanism that maintains even pressure on the thermal print head resulting in consistent print results. The spring also grounds the thermal head from ESD damage and contributes to the printer's low mounting height.
The printer weighs about 31g and measures a compact 19mm (H) x 70mm (W) x 46mm (D). It offers 100mm (3.9 in) per second throughput (at 9.5V) with 8 dots/mm (203dpi) resolution. Target applications include portable handheld receipt printers for line-busting in hospitality and retail environments, as well as portable label printers, banking terminals, and scientific and medical equipment.
Fujitsu's patented, Easy-Load platen removal mechanism allows quick, drop-in paper loading and also simplifies printer maintenance by giving full-access to the platen. A straight paper feed path allows label printing from the either the front or top of the printer.
The FTP-62D printer mechanism has a minimum printing life of 100 million pulses/50km of paper. It also has label printing capabilities. |
